Does anyone here have any experience of using employer of record services or companies that otherwise hire globally to get a remote job in the US while based elsewhere?

I'm just curious really, I see a lot of adverts from companies like Omnipresent, Deel, Oyster, Remote (naming a few so it's clear I'm not advertising one!) whose selling point is that they help companies hire globally by being the intermediary who employs the employee (eg for a US company, employing someone in the UK).
I'm in the UK and was talking to a couple of people in a co-working space (both Irish citizens) who worked for US companies, but I didn't ask them how they did it. So, I'm just curious if anyone's got any experience with either those sorts of employer of record services, or of finding companies willing to do the hassle of eg taking on people abroad as long-term contractors?
And yes, my interest is piqued partially for financial reasons because I keep being told by Americans remote working that their compensation is a quarter again at least of mine in marketing, and also just the size of the market and (from what I see working with American partners) the sheer amount of venture capital, appetite for risk-taking and so on that just interests me career-wise.

Junk removal company that I hired caused damage to my house, said they would take care of it, now ghosting me - what are my options? [Oregon, US]

I hired a local junk removal company to get rid of an old couch that I had in the house. They had good reviews, their website said they are insured, they responded fast to my initial inquiry, and the price was good so I hired them to come get the couch.
The owner and one other employees show up and each of them grabs an end of the couch to take out through the back door of my place. As they were walking the couch down from the small wood deck (2 steps) in the back, the employee tripped and dropped their end of the heavy couch, causing two legs of the couch to gouge sections of the cedar deck.
I made sure that the employee was alright and didn't make a big deal out of it. After they loaded the couch into the truck, we all went back to inspect the deck together, they measured the two damaged areas, took photos on their phone, and said they would take care of it. I could tell they were embarrassed so I didn't press them for specifics at the time, I just asked that the owner email me the information to get it taken care of and he agreed.
After a few weeks of not hearing anything, I sent the owner an email but he never responded. I sent another follow-up email a week later, still no reply. I texted him asking if he received my emails, no reply. At this point, I'm sure he has no intention of ever responding or taking care of the damage they caused.
One possibly important detail is I am a renter in this house so I technically do not own the deck, my landlord does.
I tried looking the business up on the State of Oregon contractor licensing site to see if they were licensed as a contractor but could not find them. I also considered directly filing a claim with their insurer, but I don't know how I would get that information.
I work in insurance so I'm somewhat familiar with general liability insurance claims and also minimally familiar with the legal world as it relates to liability claims.
Is this a situation where I could send him an ORS 20.080 demand for the repair amount and prompt him into either paying for the damage or risk being on the hook later for attorney fees? Is there any other obvious options that someone could recommend?
We're not talking about thousands of dollars of damage or anything but I really don't want to have to pay for it myself when it's clearly their fault and it really bothers me that he is just ignoring me thinking I'll go away so he doesn't have to do the right thing.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Do companies based in US ,taxed differently if they hire US citizens that live abroad?

I was not sure if this is a right place for this question.
I am a US citizen thinking of relocating to a different country and find a remote job here is US.
I was wondering to know if employers don't want to deal with that kind situation because of a tax purposes and reject my applications.
I would appreciate and tips and tricks if anyone is in this situation.

Thanks

[Tenant - Co - US] what are my options for getting money that is owed to me by an old property management company?

My apartment complex was sold from one property management company to another, about a month ago. I discovered, about 6 months into my lease when the property management companies changed, that I had been overpaying 50$ a month in error for the first 6 months of my lease.
This was due to a 50$ pet fee that should have been waived after I provided documentation that my dog was a registered service animal. The NEW property management company confirmed that the service animal documentation was included with my original lease agreement paperwork, and they also confirmed that the amount I have been paying this whole time did indeed include that 50$ monthly fee.
After tracking down a phone number for the OLD property management company- they unhelpfully referred me to a customer service email address, I reiterated the issue via email, and have been promptly and not surprisingly ignored ever since.
What options do I have? I am at the point of threatening them with bad reviews, are there any federal agencies I can report them to or something? Can I try to take them to small claims court or something? Thanks for reading.
