Heres a Disc Golf info-graphic I made a few years ago for my newbie friends and the lovely people of Reddit! I have come to realize that random people took this design and are selling & profiting from a printed version! Don't buy it, download this and print it out free instead.

TIL that the first touch screen in a car was in a 1986 Buick Riviera. The display offered automatic climate control, AM/FM radio with optional graphic equalizer, trip calculations, gauges and even the vehicles diagnostic info. This included status on the powertrain, brake wear and electrical system.

Should I change my graphic design major if I want to pursue a career in the tech field? (UI/UX, web dev, and open to other options that may be similar)

I turned 20 recently and I am in my sophomore year of college majoring in graphic design. I am supposed to have one more semester after this current one until I graduate. I know I want to pursue a career more so/related to tech. UI/UX design and web development interest me the most, but I am open to other options. I've been researching and I am still unsure what steps I can make towards either careers. These are some of my ideas:
  1. Self teach/study HTML, CSS, JavaScript at home while continuing my graphic design major into a university and graduating with a bachelors. All while creating my own projects and building my portfolio.
  2. Switch majors into something closer to tech and graduate with a bachelors. My college offers computer programming as a major and I'm not sure if it's better I have my degree in that and do the same of creating my own projects on my own time.
There's also the fact that I'm close to finishing my associates in graphic design, so finishing it and then switching to the new major is also another decision I am considering. Rather than changing and leaving it unfinished.
I am gearing towards pursuing a stem major since I feel like I'd have a wider range of options with such degree outside of UI/UX and web dev if I'd like to pursue them (?).
I have an appointment with my advisor on Monday to hopefully find some guidance if I do end up leaving my major.
I'm a first generation college student so I don't know anyone older who I can also talk to about this. I'd just like to hear some advice from people who maybe have experience within those fields.

Graphic Design Options for Infographics

I’m new to government, and my team seems to do many infographics but they all take so much time to make and don’t turn out great because the team uses Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to do them.
I’m proficient in Canva, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and willing to learn any other program- I just think there must be a better option than Microsoft Suite for graphic design.
What does your team use? What are our options? I know there are legalities behind this that prohibits us from using some programs.
Thanks

Need a new computer setup for 3D, Graphic design and AI generation work with occasional gaming. Detailed info and questions in the message - Budget about $2500-$4000 CAD

Hi all.
TLDR
I have a budget of $2500-$4000 CAD and am looking for a system configuration for 3D modeling, sculpting, rendering, graphic design, AI art generation and occasional gaming. I have an older desktop (Intel 4790k and GTX 1070) in India that I have not used since 3 years because I moved to Canada in 2019. Currently using a Lenovo Y540 with RTX 2060 that I will be selling and getting a desktop instead.
Keeping my budget and use case in mind, what configuration would be the best, while saving as much as I can to build a system that will last me at least 5 years?
Sorry, English isn't my first language.

LONG FORM
I am looking for a new system for 3D and Graphic Design work like character modeling, sculpting and rendering, UI design, AI generation and a few hours of occasional gaming every now and then. In the past, I used an intel 4790k with a GTX 1070 and 16gigs of Corsair Vengeance. I still have that system back home in India, but have moved to Canada since 2019. That PC has not been used in 3 years so I am not entirely sure if it still works. I am currently using a Lenovo y540 with RTX 2060 that I am looking to sell and replace it with a desktop since I already have a MacBook Pro sent from work so don't need another laptop.
I am wondering if it is worth getting my old system shipped here (the computer case with components alone weigh over 20 kilograms), or build a new system from scratch. Also, is the 1070 still powerful enough to be used for rendering purposes and casual 1080p gaming? Not a hardcore gamer but I do enjoy putting in a few hours a month.
List of software I would work with are:
Keeping these in mind, and with a budget of about $2500-$4000. Either I can:
  1. Build a brand new system from scratch
  2. Build a brand new system but use my older GPU
  3. Use my old system as is and only upgrade the necessary parts
If I am building a new system, what configuration do you suggest I should get?

Want to go into graphic design but i have an unrelated undergrad degree, what are my options if I don't want to commit to another 4-year degree?

To clarify, I 100% want to go to art school, I've made that decision, I am just wondering what my options are. I could go for a masters but those require (in most cases) a portfolio that demonstrates a design undergrad, which I don't have. I don't want to do another 4 year undergrad in design though. Are there any intermediary options? For reference, I'm in Canada, and I also have self taught myself graphic design for the past four years but I can see gaps in my understanding that I want filled at a proper art school.

The Portable Bit Map (PBM) file format, also known as Portable Bitmap Library and Portable Binary Map, supports monochrome bitmaps (1 bit per pixel). The format can be used for lossless data transfer because many applications support this format. You can even edit or create such files within a simple text editor.
